St Nicholas Athletic Club To Host County Championships

This Sunday October 7th the St Nicholas AC are hosting the Cork County Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Championships. This event will take place in 3 fields including the Fr Ferris community field and the 2 adjacent fields. These 2 fields have been kindly donated by the Kent family for use by the club for the day. We would also like to thank the community council for the use of the community field and the creamery for allowing their yard to be used for parking.

It is now 26 years since the club last hosted a cross country, back in 1986, with many of the current organisers having ran in or organised that day ! We look forward to seeing everyone there on the day to support our athletes and wish them the best of luck running on home soil. On the day we will require assistance with stewarding – anybody interested in helping out please contact Pat O’Sullivan on 087-8188612.

We are also going to sell teas, coffees & sandwiches on the day so would appreciate all offers of sandwiches.

The first race, U10 girls (born 2003 will start at 1pm sharp.

[The next cross country event is the uneven age Cork County juvenile cross country championships on Sunday the 14th October. This is for athletes born in 2004 and older. Entries to Pat O’Sullivan no later than the 8th October.]
