I am seeking information on the Ryan and Foley families who left Castlelyons in 1851. Michael Ryan (born abt.1815) and Catherine Foley (born abt. 1825) were wed in Castlelyons Parish on 14 Feb. 1840 according to a handwritten note by Fr. Thomas Ferris (on 12 Jan 1890). Michael's parents were Michael/Mary Ryan. Catherine's parents were Denis/Johanna Foley. Their daughter Catherine was born there abt. 1843 and son James Francis was born there on 14 Aug. 1846. Michael's siblings John and Mary (and possibly Catherine) went to the USA as well, in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
